Location: RAF Northolt

Date: 19th March, 2009

The second Northolt Nightshoot was meant to be a Support Helicopter-themed event. Aircraft unavailability (and en-route landings in fields) put paid to that. Nevertheless, the sight of OC 32 Squadron attempting to hover one of the A109s despite the wind was a challenge to capture (and not entirely successfully). Visiting aircraft were a Sea King from Wattisham and a Puma from Benson. The aforementioned winds also played havoc with any attempts to keep the camera stable enough for razor-sharp pictures as you will see....
