An earlier than planned finish to a meeting allowed me to witness a couple of hours activity at Fairford on the way home. The base was hosting a two-week exercise, Deployed Titan, with US and RAF personnel rehearsing for joint deployed operations. A total of 16 F-16s were detached from Aviano in Italy and on the afternoon of my visit, 12 took to the air.
