Location: International Airspace on-board 216 Squadron Tristar KC1 ZD948

Date: 21st May, 2009

A second trip tanking with 216 Squadron from RAF Brize Norton.Even as we taxied out, the list of due recipients was changing by the second and was to have included a Warton-based GR4 on a test flight and some Tornado F3s from Leuchars. In the end we got neither. Our final tally was 13 connections from nine different Typhoons. Boring as this may seem, it most certainly wasn't as they appeared in one's, two's and even a three-ship for some great photographic opportunities.
