Location: RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire

Date: 7th July, 2008

After the near washout of Waddington, Dave had manged to arrange a trip round one of my favourite stations. After a morning outside the fence, it was on to base for a visit to Nos 41 and 29 (Reserve) Squadrons (the former having a couple of interesting trials currently ongoing). Then a walk around the BBMF hangar. All of the Flight's aircraft were present including the two rarely photographed Chipmunk trainers. Then, during a drive to the 3 and 11 Squadron HAS sites, a chance to view quite a few Typhoons recovering to base in some sunshine.
