Location: LBG / Le Bourget Paris Air Salon, France

Date: 14 June, 2005

Undoubted star of the air show was the first Airbus A380 prototype. The aircraft - appropriately registered as F-WWOW - was still in the early stages of test flying and therefore was restricted to performing a few flypasts with the undercarriage (a cycle of which takes 15 seconds). Elsewhere, the first display in the West by a Flanker for some time provided an excellent comparison the outstanding Super Hornet display.
